It’s finally the weekend!! Hoping to take it as slow as possible and take some time to relax!

Happy Monday beautiful people! I hope you have had a great start to the week and if today didn’t go as planned there is always tomorrow! Today I wanted to talk to you all about our goals. Have you guys been keeping up with them from the start of the year? I know I’ve let life get in the way of mine this month, but as we head into Q2 of this year I’m getting back on track! Although coat season is over the best time to buy a new coat is now while their on sale! This one from @nordstrom is my favorite and I can’t wait to wear it out next fall!! DM me for the link or find it in my bio using @liketoknow.it

I find so much joy in being active it really helps me center myself and stay sane! After having 2 pretty busy weeks I haven’t been working out like I usually do and my body is feeling it. Any attempt to move your body is great but this girl needs a full on workout. I’m taking the time out for myself today to do that, what are you guys doing today that’s for you?

Happy International Women’s day! I purchased this shirt from @oldnavy during black history month because it represented how all black women come in many different shades. This shirt was the first representation I have seen that allowed me to feel like I was truly included. As we celebrate women today I also look at this shirt and see how beautiful things are when all women can come together. As women we have to push past so many boundaries that where put up to keep us down, especially for women of color. Along the way we are taught to see each other as competition rather than as supporters and peers. After attending @retreatyourselfday I was shown what women coming together to praise and support each other, rather than being in competition looks like! I am so blessed to have the women that are In my life and to also have gotten to meet and be in the same room as so many amazing women throughout the years! Let this not be the only day we celebrate women and their accomplishments nor the last month this year!

Happy hump day! If you’re from Texas, can you believe that this time last week it was 20 degrees and we were all struggling to keep warm! Last week was tough for a lot of us and it can be hard to find happiness in the tough times. I wrote a blog post about happiness and what signifies true happiness that you can find at the link in my bio. Thankful for the warmer weather and the small things that we tend take for granted.
