Hi All!!
Hope your year is starting off on the right foot! I truly believe that making goals is something we should make a priority more than just in the beginning of the year. What do you guys think?
That being said I did make goals but I just refined the goals I had already had in 2018. I am going to be more mindful of my goals, check in with myself and write things down! I realized that I would make goals but it was like they were internal and not tangible or anything you could see.
I want to challenge myself to check in here on my blog with you guys! I always see posts about new years resolutions, but I have never really seen any follow up posts. This will be a series this whole year where I am going to check in and let you know how its going over here!
I would love it if you guys also spoke back and maybe if you have trouble sticking to your goals leave a comment so I can check back with you and we can both hold each other accountable!
Enough jabber lets get to what my goals are for 2019!
Consistency
I have always had trouble staying consistent, whether that be here on this platform, Instagram, or generally in life. I am terrible at creating a routine and sticking too it. This year will be different, I have upped my self talk and am pushing myself to be more consistent in my life so that overall I can be more successful!
I have started by creating a morning routine that consists of me waking up early, getting a cup of coffee, and replying to emails or doing what I have been wanting to do for so many years BE CONSISTENTLY BLOGGING! My nighttime routine is about the same get home, make my lunch and breakfast for the next morning (I make smoothies so if your interested let me know in the comments and I can do a whole post about them), and get some work done!
Having a Healthy Lifestyle
Okay so this one seems like everyone does it at the start of the new year but I feel like mine is a little more tangible of a goal, so here it is! I have started working out for at least 3 times a week or more just depending on how I feel. I am going to start listening to my body more and being more mindful of what I put in it. Granted if I want a cookie or Chick -fil-a I AM GOING TO EAT IT! Its about balance, everyone says this why haven’t I ever listened! I have been already doing this for about 3 weeks and am down 2 pounds WOOHOO!!! I can also do a post on this if you guys care at all lol.
Faith
When it comes to my faith I grew up knowing about God, believing in Him, and praying before bed (not consistently because you know I am trying to work on that lol). I didn’t really attend church due to my parents working 7 days a week. I would always go with others to church but I wasn’t learning too much and just felt awkward because I would go but no one would explain how it worked. It felt like going to someone else’s family party and you were the odd man out.
I decided that I want to learn a little more about God and Jesus. I want to sit down and read the bible or do a devotional to learn a little more than I currently know now. I went to church for the first time in a long time and I went alone! Like first off I hate doing things alone and second I have never been to church as an adult. It was very liberating and I enjoyed it and would like to make it more of a priority in 2019.
Getting Out of my Comfort ZONE
Like I explained I hate doing things on my own and I very rarely do. This is something I need to work on because you came in this world alone so I should at least learn how to go to the store by myself and not feel the need to ask anyone to join me. I also want to go to more events alone, I started this last year too by going to Create & Cultivate by myself. It was so much fun and I met such great people! I want to challenge myself to do this atleast once a month. This doesnt seem like a lot but I work all the time and live at home so its a little harder to get some alone time!
I made a resolution to work on “quality of life.” As you know, I work too much and play too little. Remind me when I forget and put off time with family because I am “stuck at work!” 🙂
