Hey Fam!!
Today’s move over Monday post is all about finding motivation through something that makes you feel good and empowered!
This weekend I was surrounded by such motivational speaking and words. I feel you can get such positive vibes by the things you listen to. Below I have given you my 3 things the keep me feeling positive and give me the motivation I need to push toward my goals without even leaving the house!
Music!
When I say music I don’t mean the trendy up beat music that you can dance to and has no meening what so ever. Find an artist that’s music has a meaningful message or has something that you can relate to. Lately I’ve loved rap music because it’s like poetry below are my favorite artists, but definitely find a genre that suits you!
My Favorites have been
- Logic
- NF
- Thomas Rhett Akins (Yes I like country music!)
- Leon Bridges
Podcasts
I have loved listening to motivational podcasts. I listen to a lot of girl bosses that give advice on business and entrepreneurship. I also like to listen Christian podcasts (I’ll speak more on this in the third thing!) Listening to people who have done what you are trying to do and give you advice can really open your mind to endless possibilities, below are some of my faves!
- Goal Digger Podcast by Jenna Kutcher
- Elevation church
- Style your Mind Podcast by Cara Alwill Leyba (If you like to read she also writes amazing books, leave a comment below if you would like me to do a post on my favorite motivational books!)
Faith
I don’t mean faith as in necessarily finding faith in god (that is how I’ve been more motivated) but finding faith in your spirituality or in a mantra that you live your life by. Finding something to believe in can help motivate you through your hardships and keep you on the right path toward your goals!
These are just a few things that I have been living by lately and having these things in my life on weekends when there isn’t a lot going on keeps me from getting into a funk! I have hardships and things that I go through but listening to empowering people and living in faith have helped me overlook the small not so significant hardships. I know a lot of this seems self explanatory but sometimes you just need reminding!
Hope this helps you get through the start of your week, and remember to move over that Monday blues and make room for your happiness!
Leave a comment on things that motivate you, I could always use some more advice and inspiration!
